The UK Government's spending review for public
sector spending until 2011 outlined the investment priorities that
would empower government organisations to transform and deliver
citizen-centric services. The intended investment in these
IT-enabled transformational programmes is now coming under close
scrutiny as severe efficiency savings are demanded to tackle the
economical realities of a global recession, alongside the
requirement to fund an increasingly complex National Security Strategy and the ongoing
military campaign in Afghanistan.
